In response to their recent public drubbings regarding data security breaches, Google hits back with this….and they’re hitting hard.

About time Google did this! Hopefully this will reduce the effectiveness of search gaming rubbish like content farms and improve the search experience.

Everytime I update this site with a new blog post a new webpage is created. Because the page is new and fresh, Google will have a look at it and index it (usually within about two hours).

Why Static Websites Suck

If your web presence is limited to a static website that consists of a grand total of five basic pages that hasn’t been updated for years then you are not going to be as juicy and large a target for Google. Your website will be deemed to be less relevant than one that is frequently updated with fresh content.

Less relevant websites will still appear in search results…..they’ll just appear on page 232 instead of page 1!

When I started this website eight months ago it consisted of less than twenty pages in total.
