How To Avoid Snubbing People on Facebook
3 Jun
being ignored on Facebook is like waving and smiling at your normally friendly neighbour while they brush by, acting as if they don’t know you (maybe they didn’t see me, right?).
If you’re trying to build an audience and get people to feel all warm and fuzzy about you then it’s not a good idea to ignore them and yet millions of people across the world are doing it every day.
It’s not intentional, it’s just that they’re not paying attention to the tiny filters that are hiding many of the contributions made on the walls of pages such as this one
Everyone is Overlooking this
Most businesses use Facebook pages to create a presence on Facebook. When you create a page Facebook sets the default so that when visitors arrive at the wall, “Only Posts by Page” is the default filter setting.
This means that only posts by the page creator will be shown and those by administrators, ‘likers’ and other page non-gods are hidden from view.
This is bad because everyone who wants to engage with you by taking the time to visit your page and post something on your wall is likely to end up being completely ignored because you haven’t bothered to check the filters and display their posts.
There is a Cure
Don’t fret, Doctor Mal has the remedy
Step 1 – goto your page’s wall, click “settings” the below should appear. Check to see if “Default View for Wall” is set to “Only Posts by Page”

Step 2 – change it to the way it should be – Posts by Page and Fans

Step 3 – you’re done. Everytime you or anyone else visits the hotbed of conversation that is your Facebook page wall they will get to see the whole enchilada instead of the half a taco they were being served
before.
No-one likes to be snubbed, make sure you’re not doing it, check those filters just in case someone’s trying to talk to you.
